It’s a beautiful day so get out there and enjoy it! Play is so important and there are wealth of backyard games out there just waiting to be played.
From DIY games like Hop Scotch or Double Dutch, where all you need is a piece of chalk or a length rope, to make believe in a Play House, adventure games created around tunnels or Ball Pits, too much fun to mention on inflatable bouncers and I haven’t even got to water slides yet! Hours and hours of fun are just waiting to be had in your own backyard.
Weekends, after school and holidays don’t need to cost an arm and a leg in entertaining the kids. Why not invest in a swing set, with slide and gym – it will grow with your kids and bring a smile to their faces and some time out for you. No more cries of “we’re bored! ” - a few outdoor toys and a little imagination and you’ll be having to literally drag them in to do homework, eat their tea or go to bed. Investing in one backyard toy will save in the long run as your own backyard will be transformed into a theme park and become the envy of all the other kids (and parents) in the neighborhood. And you don’t need to spend a fortune either, there are some great deals to be had if you shop around.
Kids love to have the run of the Yard, it’s their kingdom after all so let them fill it with play while you sit back and enjoy the sound of their laughter.
Remember safety though and when playing on yard toys and structures children should be supervised.
